Athletics and me
I am a long-distance runner specializing in endurance events, with a particular focus on the half marathon and marathon.
Running has always been a key part of my athletic journey. It allows me to express both physical strength and mental resilience, which are essential in long-distance racing. Over the years, I’ve developed a strong connection with endurance running and continue to push my limits on both national and international stages.
I am a member of AD Štajerska, where I train under the guidance of my coach Borut Podgornik, who plays an important role in my development as an athlete.
Half Marathon -my favourite distance. So at the Verona Half Marathon, I finished in 1:19:35, placing 7th overall.
This result reflects my consistency and strength in long-distance running, especially in the half marathon — the distance where I feel most confident and perform at my best.
Marathon
One of my most memorable performances was at the Barcelona Marathon, where I finished in 2:50:26, achieving the title of 1st European and 3rd overall in the U23 category 🥉.
The race was a true test of endurance and mental strength. The final kilometers were incredibly demanding — my legs were exhausted, and knee pain pushed me to the edge. But moments like these define who you are as an athlete.
Crossing the finish line made every step worth it.
